Meta Aims to Fully Automate Advertising with AI by 2026, WSJ Reports

As per the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday, Meta Platforms is building the technology infrastructure that will allow brands to create as well as target advertisements solely by using the AI tools.
Talking about the current scenario, Meta apps and platforms are used by over 3.43 billion people around the world. The new AI tool will help to create personalized and customized ad variations, auto-edit the video ads, change image backgrounds, and make the overall ad more intuitive and connect to the target audience.
According to the report, a brand will be providing the budget and product image. Meta’s AI tool will then assess the budget and product to generate the ad consisting of images, text, and videos. After the content creation, the tool will then focus on determining user targeting on Instagram and Facebook according to budget suggestions.
Moreover, Meta is also planning to build strong personalization capabilities in its AI tool. With this feature, different versions of the same ad will be prepared and shown to the audience according to demographics and interests.
Mark Zuckerberg said in a statement that advertisers need some advanced AI products that could deliver measurable results at scale in the near future. Zuckerberg further added that the company aims to curate an AI-powered one-stop platform for businesses where they can set goals, define a product, set a budget, and let the tool handle the rest.
Not only Meta but also other social media firms like Snap, Pinterest, and Reddit are continuously investing in artificial intelligence and machine learning to attract advertisers.
With the new statement, Meta’s shares showed a spike of 1% in morning trading while the stocks of ad giant Interpublic Group and Omnicom Group fell by 1.9% and 3.2% respectively.
Similarly, shares of France’s Publicis Groupe SA moved downwards by 3.8% while US-listed shares of WPP were down 2.2%.
