end of gmail

Gmail is the first choice of 1.8 billion users around the world to share documents, information, and connect. However, the manual need for filtering, ignoring the promotional emails, and sending repetitive replies is something that demands advancements. Looks like Google DeepMind chief, Demis Hassabis, has also experienced that challenge and is now all set to come up with an innovative solution.

Hassabis shared his thoughts in the recent event in London, where he looks to impart artificial intelligence into Google’s email platform. According to the statement, Gmail might soon bring the AI integration that will help the users to better manage their emails and even reply to different emails without going through the process manually.

The thing I want, and we’re working on, is whether we can have a next-generation email, ” Hassabis said. Further, he also shared that developing an advanced email system will require a good investment, and he is ready to do so.

Gmail has already integrated an AI layer that helps users to leverage features like summaries, smart replies, and much more. The recent thoughts from Hassabis indicate that further and even advanced features are being developed behind the scenes that we all might witness shortly.

What to Expect from New Gmail Capabilities

While there is no clarity on the upcoming features or innovation in Gmail, a blueprint of how AI-integrated tools will change the Gmail scenario has surely been provided. As per the claims, new AI integration will focus on understanding the user patterns and thus responding to emails in a personalized way.

Also, replies for most of the emails will be sent automatically, while the user will be able to focus more on the content that needs immediate attention. While some level of AI has already been deployed to the platform, Google is further on the way to building a new model that can declutter the user’s mailing experiences.

The new AI system in Gmail will also analyze the emails to ensure that the user doesn’t miss important emails. However, regarding the investment statement from Hassabis, we can not expect these new features for free, as we might have to pay a fee that will help the company cover the expenses.
