Sachin Dev Duggal, the founder of the collapsed AI firm Builder.ai is yet again in the news for his new venture called “SecondBrain”, now focusing on the neurosymbolic AI technology. The previous company by Sachin collapsed after the revelation that its AI platform “Natasha” was actually being powered by 700 indian programmers with no use of artificial intelligence.

The revelation led to a lot of jokes on Builder.ai with people claiming that AI in their names refers to Actually, Indian, instead of artificial intelligence. However, Duggal managed to personally net $20 million from internal share sales, drawing scrutiny from the US Attorney’s Office in Manhattan.

Now, when Duggal is pitching SecondBrain to the investors, the tech world doesn’t seem to be giving a warm welcome. Given the past promises of Duggal for automation, but really powered by manual labor, this has led many investors to demand transparency.
