Google Expands Its AI Mode to Over 180 Countries

Google is all set to expand its AI-based search tool “AI Mode” to more than 180 countries in English, with plans to deploy support for other languages shortly. The tool is designed by Google to help users get more helpful and conversational answers to complex questions. The new feature also allows users to share their AI-generated results using the “Share” button. The feature makes it easier for users to resume the conversation where it was left uncompleted. At the same time, users can also delete the shared links anytime to keep complete control.
Along with the global expansion of its AI tool, Google is also rolling out new “agentic capabilities” in its AI mode. This feature will help users perform tasks with ease. For example, finding the right restaurant will become easier on the basis of party size, cuisine, location, and time. For the same, AI Mode will fetch multiple restaurant booking sites to offer real-time information and direct access to the booking portal. Google is also planning to bring newer capabilities like event ticket booking and local services. As of now, these agentic capabilities are only a part of an experimental feature for US-based Google AI Ultra subscribers.

AI Mode is also focused on making the experience more personalized for the users, as it will be showing results on the basis of previous searches, map locations, and preferences. For example, if the user is searching for a quick lunch option, Google might present the options among frequently visited restaurants, recipes, or seating options. This feature is expected to enhance the user experience by showing more relevant results. However, the users will be given the choice to turn off personalization from their account settings.
