Trump Administration to Hire 1,000 Specialists for ‘Tech Force’ AI and Finance Projects
On Monday Trump administration announced a new program called the U.S. Tech Force, which should include approximately 1,000 engineers and other specialists to work on artificial intelligence infrastructure and on other projects related to technology across the federal government.
The participants will be held to a two-year work program in the form of working with teams that are reported to the agency leader in a formal cooperation with leading technology companies, as it is stated on one of the official government websites.
Such partners in the private sector are Amazon Web Services, Apple, Google, Dell Technologies, Nvidia, Public Sector, OpenAI, Salesforce, Palantir, Oracle and plenty of others, the site claims.
The Tech Force demonstrates the Trump administration’s dedication to paying more attention to the development of the AI infrastructure in America, competing with China in the booming industry.
The program was introduced on day four in consideration of President Donald Trump signing an executive order to create a national AI policy framework – a priority of industry leaders who did not want states to develop their own regulations.
After the two terms of Tech Force members, they will have an opportunity to obtain full-time employment opportunities with those companies that have agreed to pay attention to the alumni of the programs when hiring employees. The partners are also the individuals who can nominate the employees of the company to complete the stints of the government services.
Annual salaries will probably be between USD 150,000 and 200,000 plus benefits.
The U.S. Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Kupor told the CNBC Squawk Box in the morning on Monday that they were trying to rewrite the workforce to ensure that they have the right talent on the right problems.
The site states that the engineering corps will be engaged in high-impact technology initiatives, such as AI implementation, application development, and data modernisation, as well as digital service delivery among the federal agencies.
